Ace Electric is founded by Bill Lyon

Following his success with two previous electric ventures in Oregon and San Diego, Bill Lyon sets out to create a new company. Ace Electric is founded with a vision of putting customers’ needs first, while treating employees right.

1997
1997

Jeff Hinds becomes partner

Alongside his good friend, Jeff Hinds joins Bill Lyon as a partner in the business. With Jeff’s background as a CPA in the construction industry, Bill and Jeff continue to build their customer base as the region’s most trusted electrical contracting partners.

Ace moves HQ to 6061 Fairmount Ave.

After 2 years steadily growing the business while working out of Jeff’s garage, Ace moves to its first official office, a subleased space in a centrally located building on Fairmont Ave.

David Ensminger becomes partner and VP of Operations

After 10 years of dedicated commitment to the company as a trusted superintendent, David Ensminger takes on the role of VP of Operations for Ace, where he continues to ensure seamless operations and stellar customer service.

Chris Hinds and Ryan Swenson buy Ace Electric as co-CEOs

The future of Ace Electric is passed on to Jeff’s son Chris Hinds and colleague Ryan Swenson. With Ryan at the helm of field operations and Chris leading financial operations, the pair make a strong team. They oversee the business’s continued growth, while always staying true to its original vision of putting the customers’ needs first and treating employees right.
